What does the Stream system do?

Stream combines a voice ring with notes, conversation and dictation. Holding the touchpad starts an input and releasing sends it. Responses can play through connected audio devices. Its personalised Inner Voice is intended to help the user develop thoughts rather than present a separate companion identity.

Why does Sandbar use a ring?

The ring keeps a push-to-talk microphone and media controls close to hand. Sandbar says it supports quiet speech, touch interruption and control without opening a phone app; these are design claims rather than comparative tests by AI Vitamin.

When does the microphone listen?

The ring microphone is activated by holding the touchpad and stops on release; it is not described as an always-on ambient recorder.
